- MEET WITH FORESTER & DEVELOP A LONG-TERM FOREST MANAGEMENT PLAN
- USE FOREST MANAGEMENT PLAN AS A TOOL TO IMPLEMENT PRACTICES
- USING THE FOREST MANAGEMENT PLAN, COMPLETE A HARVESTING PLAN IN ORDER TO MEET LANDOWNER'S GOALS
- CONTRACT WITH FORESTER TO COMPLETE TIMBER SALE FIELD WORK
- FORESTER WILL LOCATE AND MARK ALL NECESSARY FOREST LINES
- FORESTER WILL DETERMINE VOLUMES BY SPECIES AND PRODUCT
- FORESTER WILL LOCATE & MARK HARVEST AREAS & BUFFER STRIPS
- FORESTER WILL EMPLOY BEST MANAGEMENT PRACTICES (BMP'S)
- FORESTER WILL COMPLETE A TIMBER SALE NOTICE WITH LANDOWNER APPROVAL
- TIMBER SALE NOTICE WILL BE SENT TO TIMBER BUYERS FOR COMPETITIVE BIDDING
- LUMP SUM SEALED BIDS WILL COME DUE
- LANDOWNER AND FORESTER WILL REVIEW BIDS FOR ACCEPTANCE OR DENIAL
- UPON ACCEPTANCE OF BID, FORESTER WILL PROVIDE TIMBER SALE HARVESTING CONTRACTS TO “SELLER” AND “BUYER”
- UPON SIGNING OF CONTRACT, “BUYER” WILL SUPPLY TO “SELLER’S”AGENT THE FOLLOWING: 1) DOWN PAYMENT, 2) GENERAL LIABILITY, 3) WORKMAN’S COMPENSATION AND 4) PERFORMANCE BOND
- FULL PAYMENT PRIOR TO HARVESTING OR TIMBER SALE PAYMENT BY UNITS
- PRE-HARVEST MEETING WITH “SELLER”, “BUYER” AND FORESTER
- HARVESTING ACTIVITIES TO BEGIN
- FORESTERS RESPONSIBLE FOR TIMBER SALE INSPECTIONS TO ENSURE CONTRACT COMPLIANCE
- UPON COMPLETION OF CUTTING, FORESTER WILL MEET WITH “SELLER” AND “BUYER” FOR FINAL INSPECTION. UPON APPROVAL FROM “SELLER” FORESTER WILL RETURN PERFORMANCE BOND TO “BUYER” AND CLOSE OUT SALE
